For more than two decades, National Powerline has provided electrical services and infrastructure construction for distribution, transmission, substation, renewables, and storm response.

Winter conditions can wreak havoc just about anywhere. Recently, as part of our work to support the Western Area Power Administration (WAPA's) work to revitalize infrastructure serving the residents of Estes Park, our National team was called upon to address wire that was galloping due to winter weather. The solution: putting 2,005 airflow spoilers on 17 double circuit spans. How’d they do it? Harnessed in a Bosun Chair and connected to a Summit helicopter, the team wrapped long (up to 16 ft.), hard-to-bend spoilers in place.Who was involved? It’s a family affair. The Waymires- Colorado Division Manager Brandon and his father, Foreman Larry- plus Journeyman Lineman Randy Waymire and his father General Foreman Todd Waymire. Also on the job: 6th Step Apprentice Scott Howarth, 4th Step Apprentice Ryler Gremard, and Jordan Rodrigues.Check out their view here. See MoreSee Less

In October 2023, National completed a 16-mile double-circuit steel transmission line connecting the Town of Estes Park and Flatiron Reservoir. A highlight of the project was the use of a CH-47 Chinook helicopter to help carry and install poles ranging from 8,000 lbs. to 15,000 lbs. The helicopter was specifically chosen for this project for its lifting capacity and ability to support our work at extreme altitudes.Did you know the Chinook is the only military helicopter developed in the 1960s still in production and service after 50 years?Learn more about the Estes Park Flatiron Project here: centuri.com/projects/flatiron-powering-estes-park/ See MoreSee Less
